My autobiography
I was born in 1960 in Tel Aviv. After my military service I took up English Linguistics and Political Science at the Hebrew Uni. in Jerusalem. I got married and had 2 children.
My professional career was teaching English in High school , during which time I also acquired my Education Masters Degree in Bar Ilan Uni. in Ramat – Gan. I also served in different education administration roles , among them I erected and managed a junior high school.
My artistic route started at the age of 45 , in a local community center group. Soon I felt I would rather work and create by myself. I went on with my hobby of painting , alongside with my English teaching occupation. I have been painting mostly with Acrylic paints.
In 2010 I participated in an art group exhibition up north , in Rosh Pina , the exhibition theme being “The Barley “ , from the series “The Seven Species” ( to describe the products of the land of Israel). My painting was “A field of crops” ( acrylic on canvas , 50 * 70 ).
Another painting of mine , “Women in The Field” ( acrylic on paper , 35 * 50 ) , was chosen to be exhibited in an international art exhibition in Luneville , France , in 2012.

My artist statement
I have always loved to create different handicraft works. Having started painting , I am thrilled since I have found colorful painting greatly challenging my imagination.
I enjoy the whole process of creating my work, starting by picturing the coming painting in my mind. This process may take a few hours or even several weeks. Sometimes the future image lives with me for months before I start to paint it.
When I am all set about my wishful painting I get to work . Full of excitement and expectation upon creating the new work I see it vitally growing under my brushes and paints.
As the work proceeds and is nearing its full completion I feel great fulfillment and I look forward to seeing it finished.
I usually get my inspiration from the beautiful vast fields and nature sights I am lucky to live next to. Any other such magical view I happen to come across also leads to the same result.
I can definitely say that the great Impressionist artists have made a significant impact on my work. Quite often I find that I try to follow in their footsteps.
I paint with acrylic paints on canvas. The colors I choose are daring and bold and they well depict nature’s way to enrich and cheer our life.
I find a great challenge in sharing my paintings with other people ,allowing them to feel peace and joy while looking at my paintings.
